“You carry your story with you everywhere you go, and I don’t believe God puts you in the company of anyone who doesn’t need a bit of your story for some need in their own life.”
I just wrote that in an email to a friend who expressed some doubts about an anticipated social setting which she finds intimidating. Immediately after hitting “send”, I asked myself, “But…do I really believe it?”
That is my question of the day…for myself.
Amy, what a wonderful question “but…do I really believe it?” Today was a day of doubting and questioning and feeling like an intruder, even though I knew was where I was supposed to be. I just pray that my presence brought some blessing to those around me and gave glory to God.
Nancy, Sometimes we have to use the Davy Crockett method. He said, “Be sure you’re right, then go ahead!” We can substitute, “Be sure you’re in God’s right place….” I’m sure you were a blessing…because that’s just you.
What a beautiful insight. I may have to quote you sometime!
Karin, If you ever find yourself with time on your hands, you have the makings of a book with some of the quotes from your blog! And, your story has definitely had an impact on my life…thanks for sharing so many pages of the past year in such a wonderful way.
