I blog because there is blank space available in the cyberworld.
When not putting words to computer screen, I focus on being wife to Michael, mom to Gabe (24), Ellen (23)--these two don't need in-your-face, at-your-side mothering anymore--and Zach (15), grandma to Melanie Joy (born 10/09/08), and friend to many who are dear. My heart is that of a teacher, though my roles are changing from homeschool mom and religious education teacher to.....??????
I am not very technologically smart, but I managed to get my blog set up without any help from my children, so I'm making progress. I still will not likely twitter or tweet or whatever any time soon.
I believe my mission in life is to connect people with truth. Doing this with children through teaching has been my main avenue of fulfilling that calling. But, I'm finding more and more ways that I enjoy carrying out the mission and blogging is one of them.
